ADA Accessibility and Compliance
We believe that everyone should be able to use any website on the Internet. It shouldn’t matter if they have a condition that affects their capabilities or what hardware and software they need to use. This is the main concept behind the concept of web accessibility.
A Brief Introduction to Web Accessibility
The fact is that millions of internet users have special needs and impairments that can make it difficult or even impossible for them to use certain types of websites. By designing your site with these challenges in mind, you can ensure that it’s welcoming to as many users as possible.
While there are a lot of disabilities and conditions that can affect the way people use websites, let’s take a look at some of the most common categories of impairments
Issues with vision include a partial or total inability to see. It also includes people who struggle with color differentiation.
Some users have a reduced ability to hear.
Some people have difficulty with fine motor skills. Using a mouse is problematic for them.
Conditions such as epilepsy can cause seizures that are often triggered by flashing lights or fast-moving website sliders.
There are also many conditions that affect cognitive ability, such as dementia and dyslexia.

Have a question about our services? Please get in touch!
Please use the contact form on this page to schedule, and provide information that will help us be prepared.
How Long Does The Website Build Take?
Assuming we receive everything we need from your team (e.g. images, content, plugin access) nice and quickly, your site will be ready to go live within 30 days from the day you purchase it.
How Does The Process Work?
You will fill out a form providing us with the information we need to get started. We’ll get moving on the website as soon as we receive your request. First, we will stage the new site on a subdomain to get your approval. Once it’s approved, we’ll push website live on your business domain. Finally, we’ll optimize your website to ensure it runs well and loads fast. It’s that simple!
Are Your Websites Responsive?
ABSOLUTELY! We only use great looking premium responsive themes for our websites and we can customize them to be unique for your organization. This means they look great on tablets and cell phones too.
What Hosting Do You Recommend?
We host all of the websites we build on our own servers. This allows us to (1) protect your site from being hacked and (2) ensure the server doesn’t get overloaded like it does with typical share hosting services which can lead to performance issues.
Do You Only Build WordPress Sites?
Yes, we build all of our sites on WordPress only. With the systems we have developed this allows us to (1) keep costs affordable for small and local businesses, (2) be consistent with our practices to ensure client sites are kept ADA Compliant, and (3) set up a great foundation for SEO.
Will I Get Admin Access?
We are only able to maintain ADA Compliance by making website updates from our end. That way we can make sure to dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s in an effort to keep your business safe. This is why you receive a full hour each month as part of your monthly maintenance program.
Are There Any Content Restrictions?
There are a few content restrictions. We don’t allow any sites for illegal activities, in the sex industry, or anything that may be perceived as a scam or ponzi scheme. In order to maintain ADA Compliance, we will not connect to a real estate IDX or eCommerce sites.
What Happens If I Cancel?
Like all hosting, if you cancel you will lose the website(s) we’ve built for you. We do offer a grace period in case there’s simply a payment issue, so your website won’t be shut down right away. If you want to transfer a site to a new hosting company within the first 12 months of the site build, we will provide a backup of the site and you will be charged a $600 transfer fee. Thereafter the transfer fee is $150. As a reminder, if you move to another hosting company, your ADA Compliance audits will not be maintained and you are at a higher risk of being sued.
Do You Provide A Domain?
We do not provide you with a domain. It is important that you purchase your own domain in order to maintain control over this important company asset. We recommend Namecheap.com for registering your domain as they having great pricing and offer free privacy protection.
Can I Still Use My Own Email?
Yes, you maintain your own email as we do not manage emails. The reason you do not want to change who manages your email is because you would then lose all of your old emails.
Are There Any Hidden Fees?
No, never. We build the entire site within the agreed fee. And, contrary to many developers, our hosting, management, audits, and 1-hour of updates are all included in your single monthly maintenance fee.
